  • chapter 1f

It would have been much better if Mayer Lynx made hydration a higher priority. But it would have been a much harder challenge. We can only hope for the rains this autumn.

Let me introduce y’all to another cat who will play a vital interest in the story. Meet Dagoo. She’s Mama Lynx’s sister-in-law. She lives in another province, and when she came, she didn’t know Mayer Lynx. She’s an outspoken individual unlike my mom. And because of that, she gets into trouble, unlike my mom. But because she is very outspoken, she can get along with anyone, I think. That is only before, she pisses off everyone.

I’ve always got along with Dagoo, even though I’m kind of a quiet individual. I like the drama that she would bring. To me, I like the excitement.

So one day, Dagoo comes trouncing in. This is a little bit after the chainsaw incident. She comes trouncing in talking to every lynx as she came in to our province.

Mayer Lynx stops her right away and says, “Hi, who are you? I’ve never seen you before.”

“Hi, sir,” she replied. “My name is Dagoo.”

And for some reason, Mayer Lynx liked her vibe.

“I know the family,” she continued, “I’m visiting my sister-in-law.”

“Ohh,” Mayer Lynx responded. “You know Thompson?”

“Yes yes,” Dagoo replied. “He’s my brother.”

“Well I’m very sorry what happened to him,” he said. “Can you send my condolences?”

Given a free pass into the province, Dagoo, treaded it on.

  • chapter 1d

Mayer Lynx drops off some grain every week. I head to the grain and start eating. This is our normal breakfast. My mom doesn’t eat anything. She usually doesn’t eat much. I finish quickly and ask my mom, “So what are we going to do today?”

I was a hyper baby as most baby lynx are. I like to play around and then go to sleep and then play around and go to sleep, and go about my day iterating through this loop. I didn’t have any siblings play with so I got bored a lot.

“Sydney, we are going to clean up and organize our house a little bit. I am getting older and I think we should move to that retirement home where I won’t be so lonely. I would go about my day hanging out with the old cats. What do you think, Sydney?”

I’m a young cat who just followed his mom so I replied, “Sounds good.”

  • chapter 1e

Mama Lynx is a great hunter as are most lynxes. What they do, is not to catch their prey by speed alone. They use intelligence as much as speed.

What lynxes do is set up metaphorical moats to trap their prey. What happens is that this decreases the space. And what you get is a trivial hunt.

In the forests of Eastern Bohemia, we were but Eastern Bohemian lynx, but we live like Kings. Everyday, besides the grain brought to us by Mayer Lynx, there was always plenty of dead rabbits outside.

And pretty soon after growing up and maturing from being a bad baby lynx, I assume grew tired of eating rabbits every day. I decided to be a vegetarian. I preferred carrots to rabbits and grass to grain. I became more like a cow.

Now you would think carrots would be a certain way, but the carrots that I’m talking about looks more like the roots of grass. If I could dig to get them, it would make my day. Grass was bitter and carrots were sweet. My nails were always filled with dirt and my mom would cut them while complaining about that.

    I FLY

    I fly, no lie
As a bird in the air
    Very fly, I fare

  • preface to mr. park

I went to Naperville Central High School. At the high school, I met a Mr. Park. Obviously, I didn’t refer to him as Mr. Park. He was the same age as me, so it doesn’t make sense to refer to your friends by their last name.

I have long since lost touch with him. I don’t know where he is. But the book Mr. Park is not an expose. It’s not even really about him. It’s about me. So I will write this book with fictional flourish so that this book is not an autobiography of Mr. Park, but what it is, is an acknowledgment of my experiences in high school, and the imagination of what my experiences could have been if I had entered High School knowing everything that I know now.

Let me quickly close this preface by giving you the background to this story.

Mr. Park is entering High School. He’s Korean. He is a good basketball player, but he is short. He doesn’t play for the team. His first name is Yung. And now, we start the story and with him; where we will also end the story. Introducing Yung Park.

  • 1. programming aspect

The programming aspect starts with some libraries. With these libraries, you have a foundation to build applications for quantitative trading. Now can you find these libraries? Can you find them on GitHub? Or just on the internet in general?

I’m not a big library guy. I’m not a big reader. I don’t like to go down that bookshelf in the public library. I do like to search for things lazily. And I would encourage everyone to do the same. Use that llm that your wedded to, and prompt for the answer.

    Are you crazy lazy?
    Are watching the streamer FaZe?
    Get off the phone,
    You’re all alone.

    Close the machine
    You’re in the Matrix!

    Are you crazy and lazy
Or are you lazy and crazy?
    Flip it around,
    and turn it upside down.

    Up is up,
    And down is down.

    Are you crazy, miss lazy?
    Are my words hazy?
    Am I turd, baby?
    I’ll eat some curds.

  • chapter 1c

It is the autumn season, my favorite season. The leaves have already started to fall in the forest, but the weather was still hot. It was the final heat before the weather would start cooling until winter. It was hot but not that hot, not as hot as past autumns.

When I woke up, I had already forgotten about the night before. I immediately noticed the hot and humid weather, and I pounced out of the den to get some air. I prefer the cold to the hot and was a little bit annoyed.

Mama lynx did not sleep all night, and when I pounced, I startled Mama. Slowly, she came out of our home, And sat at the threshold annoyed.

    “Hi Mom,” I said.

    “Hi Sid,” she replied.

“So where are we going?” I continued. “Where are we going to be doing, today?”

“Sidney, get back in the house. What do you want to eat?”

“I don’t know Mama,” I said as I trudged my way back.

  • chapter 1b

For now, I will say that the men were just cutting down trees. They were clearing the Forest, causing a commotion, and scaring all the animals.

Mayer Lynx rushed from the forest among us. It was in the middle of the night he woke and said, “Come here and don’t worry I will keep you safe as you know that I always do.”

Mayer Lynx had gathered us in the natural amphitheater in the Forest. He ended with, “I think you can all go back to your homes I will keep watch if they come nearer.”

My mom and I then gathered back at the home.

“Mom,” I said. “What is happening?”

“Sid,” she replied. “I don’t know.”

    My name is Sidney.

“Go to bed Sidney,” she continued. “I’ll stay up at night.”

I lied down beside her, and eventually went to sleep.
